Chief Executive Officer of CIE
An experienced electromechanical engineer who graduated from the Inter-African College of Engineering in 1985, Jean Christian TURKSON was hired by the former EECI in the Energy Transport and Telecommunications Department, where he served as Regional Director in Bouaké and Abidjan from 1985 to 1994, then as Director of Energy Transport and Telecommunications until November 2005.
In December 2005, he was appointed to the General Management as Director in charge of maintenance coordination, a position he held until January 2008. From 2008 to 2019, he served as Director of Studies and Project Management (DEMO), responsible for investment projects across all segments of the electricity network, in accordance with the prerogatives granted to CIE by the Ivorian government.
In December 2019, he was appointed Central Director in charge of distribution network operations, engineering and works, with a strong focus on product quality issues. Since April 2021, he has served as Special Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, with responsibilities including the coordination and implementation of the strategic plan.
He took up his post on 16 July 2025 following the appointment decision by the Board of Directors.
