Le vendredi 24 janvier 2014 à 9h00 a eu lieu la Cérémonie d’inauguration de la sixième turbine à gaz et de pose de la première pierre d’une turbine à vapeur de CIPREL sur leur site de Vridi.
Pour faire face à la croissance de la consommation, l’Etat de Côte d’Ivoire a signé avec CIPREL le 20 décembre 2011, un Avenant N°6 à la Convention, pour une extension de sa capacité de production : Le « PROJET CIPREL IV ».
Un investissement total de 225 milliards de FCFA (343 millions d’Euros) réalisé grâce à l’engagement des actionnaires de CIPREL à investir en Côte d’Ivoire – notamment le groupe français eranove (83% du capital), et à la confiance des banques locales, régionales et des institutions internationales d’aide au développement.
Le projet consiste en la mise en service d’un cycle combiné en deux phases :
– CIPREL IV – Phase A
La conception, la construction et la mise en service d’une turbine à gaz de 111 MW (TAG 10) amenant la capacité installée totale de CIPREL à 432 MW.
– CIPREL IV – Phase B
Le passage en cycle combiné de la TAG 10 (construite en phase A) et de la TAG 9 (mise en service en 2009) et la mise en service de la turbine à vapeur (TAV 1); pour atteindre une capacité de installée de CIPREL de 543 MW
CIPREL IV augmente la puissance installée de CIPREL de 222 MW, soit 1 600 GWh/an additionnels fournis au réseau électrique interconnecté national et régional.
CIPREL conforte ainsi sa position de plus puissante centrale thermique à gaz de l’Afrique Sub-saharienne francophone.
On January 24, 2014, the Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire Mr. Daniel Kablan Duncan inaugurated the sixth gas turbine (111 MW) of the power plant. Also, Mr. Kablan Duncan laid the foundation stone of a steam turbine of (111 MW) have started.
