Mister Bernard Kouassi N’guessan has been CIPREL’s Managing Director since January 2010. He has over 25 years of experience in the management and operation of thermal power stations in Côte d’Ivoire. In 1994 he joined CIPREL as a Site Manager, a position he held for twelve years. He was later appointed Assistant Operations General Manager for three years before being appointed Managing Director.
Before joining CIPREL, Monsieur N’Guessan held various management positions within EECI and then CIE: Head of the YOPOUGON Central workshops and the intervention group at Hydraulic Production Management in 1984, Head of the Mechanics department in the VRIDI steam powered thermal production plant in 1986, Methods office manager, Thermal Production stock and insurance management in 1989, and Site Manager at the Vridi I gas turbine plant in 1992.
Mister N’Guessan began his career in 1982 as an Industrial Engineer at Blue Bell Côte d’Ivoire (Wrangler Group). He graduated as an Industrial Engineer in Electricity from the Institut Supérieur Industriel d’Etat in Belgium, and was trained in Management at IFG CNOF in France. Monsieur N’guessan has also graduated from an Advanced Management Program, an Executive Education diploma awarded by the MDE Business School in Abidjan in collaboration with the Barcelona IESE Business School in Spain. Monsieur N’guessan is citizen of Côte d’Ivoire, he is married and is the father of 4 children.
