The consortium of the Eranove, Eiffage and Themis groups signed a project agreement with the Republic of Madagascar on 2nd<\/sup> December 2016, for the construction and operation of a new hydroelectric plant with an installed power of 200 MW. Located on the Sahofika site, about 100km south of Antananarivo, this plant will allow the national capacity to be increased significantly and the chronic deficit of the capital\u2019s interconnected network to be absorbed. It will cover the consumption of around 1.5 million homes, according to available estimates.<\/p>\n
