Ivory Coast Electricity Production Company
A leading producer of independent electricity in the Ivory Coast, CIPREL’s thermal plant (Ivory Coast Electricity Production Company) is made up of 7 combustion turbines that use natural gas as their main fuel, gas that is extracted off the Ivory Coast’s shore, and one steam turbine.
The plant’s installed power is 556MW, with an estimated annual production of 3810 GWh. CIPREL operates under a concession contract with the Ivory Coast’s government that doesn’t expire until 2035. CIPREL is 83.3% owned by Eranove. All of CIPREL’s activity is QSE certified: ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001. CIPREL achieved ISO 26000 confirmed status for its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).
